I know there are plenty of other people out there that think the same thing too and I'm wondering if I should be starting up an cable manufacturing company in order to cash in on these clowns....probably my favourite systems of the show, put together by... a cable manufacturer Clearer Audio. It kind of makes sense, I guess, as cables are all about the subtleties.
I mean stuff like this: http://www.jpslabs.com/kaptovator.shtml

$6099 per pair of 4' (directional) cables. I figure the most cost in those is the nice looking blue aluminium ends for the 'massively expensive' sheathing to fit into, maybe the clear spade connectors, I dunno, those run what, maybe a quid each or so? There's plenty of other extreme madness out there too, like that Italian fella who installed a massive sub in the floor of his listening room: http://www.royaldevice.com/custom.htm

That's pretty insane in itself but look at the masses of other shit he's got in that room, the amount of cones in there would put your local roadworkers depot to shame. The best bit about this room though is the following which caught my eye:
Sub atomic particle accelerators? Weren't those the things the Ghostbusters carried about on their backs? I mean he's cleary having a little joke here, right? Even audiophiles have a sense of humour don't they? The Royal Device Audio Room features 3 sub-atomic particle accelerators on SPDIF data transmission

Oh.

Wait.

IT'S A FUCKING TIME MACHINE!

Some dude made a 'time machine' which goes back and corrects the mistakes made in the studio at the time of the recording and sold it to this fruitcake, probably for many tens of thousands of pounds/dollars/goats. I am in the wrong business and you probably are too... We need to get in on this freakshow and make us some easy cash. Get back at me with your proposals.
