One minute epoxy?....think again.

Helpful hints on how to build 'em, and where to get the stuff you need.

One minute epoxy?....think again.

#1 Post by Radian »

When buying epoxy for your t-nuts or h-nuts, stick to the 5-30 minute stuff.

Others here have warned :slap: , but I figured I'd get a little more working time than this....I mean come on?! The grub didn't even make it onto my workpiece.

I broke the internal seal, mixed it for 15 seconds, then pooped out a stupid-hot epoxy turd that nearly melted my flesh. It cured solid before I could even lay down a bead. I've heard of quick set epoxy, but this mix borders on useless. If I had been building speakers, I'd have been most unhappy at the delay of game.

I'm dying here. What a great description of uselessness! "then pooped out a stupid-hot epoxy turd that nearly melted my flesh." Sounds like a bad weekend in Tijuauna.

+1 on the 1 minute epoxy Radian. Even making plastic models it's almost useless, plus it gets really hot as you mentioned.

these type of glue are meant to mix right on the area where you would end up applying the glue to; unless you mix a little bit at a time quickly.
