not what I wanted to hear. I wanted Bill to say "they are for cosmetic purposes only, wanted to give you something to do with leftover wood" . Oh well I guess I can cut them tomorrow. Clamping them to the sides of the cab will be rather difficult.

If my braces were for cosmetic purposes I'd fail the beauty contest. The ones in my T39 are ugly as hell.

Done! well sort of, still need braces in the driver chamber and paint. This thing is heavy, I'm not so sure I can hang it on the wall.

I am impressed with the simplicity of the build. I am low to intermediate at woodworking but had everything match just like it was supposed to when I put the last panel on. Everything lined up perfectly, and that was without a table saw. Tomorrow braces and screw removal!

I just realized I didn't post any picks but here is what I have now. I decided to recess the lid. Eventually the cap will not be visible and the sides will. This will make on less seam visible.

Can I round off the corners with Arauco? I'm thinking of wrapping the thing in fabric to match the HT and sharp corners will wear thru. How strong is the PL? can I really sit my fat self on this or better yet dance naked on the top of it? Or is the PL strong enough to hang this in the corner, a wall cleat on 2 sides and a leg on the protruding corner?

Hopefully a few more pics of me in the HT with a smile being blown off of my face by 140 db of 18 hz nausea inducing bass (kidding but I'll take it if I can get it)

You can router acuaro. Have bondo handy for any chip away. That is the only issue.
As for PL i dropped my original tht and it hooked the mouth on my sawhorse. Broke the sawhorse, ripped a hole in the play but the butt joints held

I think he mistyped 'ply'. I too had a debacle where my Jack 210 was dropped from about 3 feet in the air onto an incomplete corner. The PL held in every location, but the ply got a little damaged in one corner. No air leaks on the first try, though. If you applied enough PL, it will be good to go.

Ply makes sense, play was giving me some trouble.

My wife told me today I can not bring the monster in until I finish and paint it. I was hoping to bring it in soon for a test. She said she knows once it is installed it would never get finished.... She knows me too well.

It should be air tight. I have PL oozing out of every joint, I used a little more than I thought I needed. Can't wait to hurt myself with low frequencies.

It will chip to hell if you don't on the cross grain.

-1 Use a 3/8" round-over, or even a 1/4", as this will be less likely to chip out. Use a good quality 25k RPM, minimum 1 1/2 HP router.

I am just telling what I do DJphatman. I always use 1/2" round and they look good. The only time I use 3/8" is when I do DR.s.

Which ever bit you choose you should make 2 passess especially crossing the grain.

IIRC mine is 1/2" too. If your covering with fabric bondo should only be needed for major scars.

As for dancing on the sub, naked, sure why not. Many of the pro subs are danced on regularly. If fact I was contrmplating adding a dancing pole insert to my T60s. At a couple parties at my house some of the ladies found my THT as the beat seat in the house.

Does any know of a crossover that will send 18-20 hz and above on way and below another? I would like to keep the freq below 18 or 20 from my sub but would like them to go to my buttkicker couch shaker amp. I guess I would be ok with 20 and above to the sub and all low freq to the buttkickers.

+1 this is why I recommended the smaller radius round over bits. You don't need to take a lot off to make it look nice, and to not hurt anything that contacts the edges.

I don't know of any that go that low. But with proper placement and spl levels the THT is a butt kicker. My JL loaded one could move the couch during extreme volume.

The only way I could think of to do that would be to use something like the DCX2496 that will let you set a HPF for the sub(s) and then send a full-range signal to the buttkicker and let its internal X-over filter out the highs.
