IME there's no substantial difference between the two. I use the Harbor Freight hopper gun with the small tip for two coats to cover, the medium tip for a final spatter coat. Straight, no thinning.baronvonsteve wrote: I'm not sure if you can properly reduce the roller grade with water for proper spraying.

I've rolled and sprayed both. The spray grade is more controllable when spraying, roller grade more controllable when rolling. The viscosity difference is minimal. But you can do both with both.
If it's too loud, you're even older than me! Like me.

Actually, I am so surprised at just how far roller grade goes. I panicked getting that 2nd 1 gal pale from you, and haven't even broken into it yet! The spray grade arrives by ship this week with a bit of luck.LelandCrooks wrote:I've rolled and sprayed both. So far I have done 4 J112s and two J110s and still have a bit left in that first pale. Two solid coats on each of those cabs as well.

Getting a bit off topic for a sec. I see Bill has updates for Titans and Tubas, I wonder if there's any comparison posted with the old vs new already

The updates are clarified and improved plans, nothing Structural to the cabs.

Thanks again everyone for the knowledgable threads.
