Crown XTi DR200 Settings

EQ guys are using on their cabs/systems. A good starting place if you don't have your own RTA.

Crown XTi DR200 Settings

#1 Post by Lastcat »

I finished my 4 DR200's with Pro 8's. Turned out good. Took a bit to get the EQ Sweet Spot. But sounds good. I have a few Crown XTi's, currently have 4 T39 24" V plated on a XTi4000, with the 4 DR200's on a XTi4000.

I found a pic that Brent posted a while back, that was set Flat, using SAC.

Transferred all the Settings Manually into Band Manager for the DR200's. Nice and flat. I have included a Preset File for the DR200's, there are about 7 different settings, including Brent's Settings. The 7 different settings are based off of Brent's pic above, and tweaked and changed a bit here and there.

Now mind you, this is just a starting point, every venue will change, walls, floors, ceilings, etc... At best, RTA's would be more helpful, then of course good old "By Ear" settings. But so far, I have found a few of the presets to really so far make the DR200's Shine.

The presets are for the Crown XTi 4000, so you would have to double check the limiter, and of course your XO's, and whatever else needed. I haven't found a way to export or import a single amp setting yet, someone know? Oh well, give this a try, and see how they work for you.

I have the same file in RAR and ZIP Format. Just download to a folder, then in Band Manager, select your Amp, then Open Preset filename: DR200.XTi

Glad you were able to use that.

Thanks gentlemen! I am in the build process for my DR200 and things like these sure can save time.

Much appreciated.

I tried out this preset today. I liked your EQ points, but found the balance way too trebly. I ended up adding a narrow cut at 10k, and dropping the high end quite a bit. It was a great starting point, and I think I have the best EQ I've had yet -- thanks.

I think there were 7 different settings for the DR200. Varies from highs to flat, and volume. Have to pick and choose, and change whatever is needed. Like I stated before, its just a starting point. I have since changed settings a few times, and now have 1 favorite, since I posted this file.

Glad you found one that works. 8)
