When you produce say 4 T48s in a confined workspace, they start to become a problem when it comes to shuffling them around, especially for finishing.
So I cut some 20" square bits of 1/2" ply, attached 4 off $5.00 swivel castors on each ( with a 1/2" glued plate under each so the screws don't protrude ) loosened the castor axle bolt/nut such that there's almost freewheel and Bob's your uncle!
What a Godsend these are. I don't know why I never made these before. Painting becomes much easier as with the touch of a hand, the cab spins so I get the right light to pick up imperfections etc.
There are downsides though. First it's easy to crash the cabs into one another or other items in your workshop, so the tightening up of those castor axle bolts/nuts is essential and of course you NEVER want to leave these laying around with nothing on them.
