I was looking at dr200 spec sheet. I noticed that 8 dr200 would do a good job for our smaller crowds of about 1500 to 2000. Intend to have about 12t39 to go with these. What would be recommended amps for this set up. I am using yamaha amps.

i havent read the dr200 plans but i though that its power limit is about 100w :feedback: 12 t39 will suffice giving to them about the same 100w per cab so wee are talking about 800w total power for the drs and 1200w maybe a little more for the subs
There is a very thin line between fail and success. It is very thin so, why are you scared???

One sheet of 1/2".
Plus you'll need some 1/4" and 1/8"

Thanks that puts them a lot cheaper than the Dr300. I am paying close to $60.00 for the 1/2 inch stuff from the home depot. Can`t seem to find any where cheaper here in kitchener Canada.HD claims its the real deal.

I paid around 35$Can. for Arauco and the Russian Birch sells for 40$ in the Montreal area. I would look with a different supplier. Do you have any Lowe's in your area?

I just searched and found these....

The stuff and HD might be BB but it likely has a very thin veneer, so thin that you might need a magnifying glass. If it is, you might be able to lift it with your finger nail....which would prove that is not the stuff you want. Happy hunting!

^^I second that, HD will try to sell you birch ply wood but it is not BB (could be wrong in your neck of the woods though).
I would at least closely inspect the plys like Tom Smit says.
You must have a local cabinet maker in you area. Check with him and he might be able to land you a deal on real BB or help you out in finding some. Instead of going to Tim buck two yourself to get some.

Use the 16 Ohm DeltaPro 8 and you can run the whole system from 2 amp channels running @ 4 Ohms. A single Crown XTi4000 fits the bill perfectly. But, if you have a Yamaha amp that does 900-1000 Watts @ 4 Ohms, then you are golden.

Commonwealth Plywood
100 Randall Drive
Waterloo, Ontario
N2J 4A9
(519) 885-2810

This is the real deal , not sure if their prices are better or worse, changes with the market,
I haven't seen anything in HD that I would call BB, maybe at times in the small handy panel sizes but not full sheets,

These will be 5x5,maybe 4x8 sheets at Commonwealth, be sure to ask for Russian Birch or Baltic Birch
