Not sure that is still true or occurs on all Eminence drivers. Certainly you can test the polarity just by switching back and forth and see which sounds louder.CarterKraft wrote: ↑Wed Sep 21, 2022 12:35 pm Grant mentioned in another thread the RED marked post on the APT is not + oh man I missed that detail for sure.

Re: Yet another newbie, sorry guys
Hi Bruce, just seemed to be the easiest way to get started. I take your point and will give it a go. But only after I do get a serious signal from those subs. That still is the main issue. I can't set any cross-over frequency if I barely hear anything from those sub-speakers even under full throttl...

Re: Yet another newbie, sorry guys
The one thing you said you did is one that I would never do is to run the setup wizard. Auto EQ - yes. Setup wizard - no. Turn your amp to the subs wide open. Go back into the crossover section and set the gains back to -0- (unity) and start over. Re-balance the system by ear with some music adjusti...

Re: How to sell a used tuba 45
Not sure where to post this. My son and I built this for him to use during is DJ career in college. We couldn't have made a better choice- thanks for all of the advice from folks on this forum. The question now is - How do I get rid of this thing? What's a fair price for a used Tuba 45 with an Emin...

Issue? I don't even know what the hell that means! You just keep doing that techy stuff so the rest of us can blissfully go about our reading and posting without ever knowing why or how any of this stuff works.Chris_Allen wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 10:46 am Issue:

Re: Finally! Omni 12 Tall Boy build
Looks like the best bet is to take out that waveguide, fill the hole and cut the round hole for the APT80. Or, just put a different driver on the back of the that waveguide you have in there.

Re: Finally! Omni 12 Tall Boy build
Anyone have one of those adapters? I looked back to 2019 on my dealer price lists and there's no adapter like that. If I search the site with that number, it comes up with the APT30 horn/tweeter. Probably gonna' be impossible to find. Is your waveguide a standard screw in? If so, you could always g...

Re: Yet another newbie, sorry guys
Question is, if this kit is what I need. It seems to be specialized for aktiv systems, which I am not using. It also has a lot of pre-settings stored (based on specific speakers, etc) that I don't use. Does it have the needed flexibility to get me there or is there stuff out there which would do a ...

Re: Yet another newbie, sorry guys
Hi Bruce, thanks for your answer. It does help. What Grant was referring to was how the peaces are put together. Who is connected to whom on the way from the controller to the Speakers. That's what we meant with signal flow. Not the order in which the sound is optimized. Sure, we need to get the cr...

Re: Yet another newbie, sorry guys
I just realized, I missed a few answers to Seth: No, this isn't the actual dial of my unit. It is a unit with only a little depth, so a live picture of it would be difficult (cables in the way). It was a close-up from a stock photo to aid the conversation. My dial was set to about 125 Hz. I reduced...

Although, it seems we're left with either helping make it the best it can be with what he's got, and/or coaching him in the right direction with the purchase of a dbx Driverack (preferred). Thomann.de - dbx Driverack PA2 If he stays with the gear he's got, I'd say to use the sub out on the EQ and s...

Re: Yet another newbie, sorry guys
If the sub low pass adjustment on the rear also dictated a high pass for the main out, that would be nice if it functioned that way. But, there's nothing in the manual (that I found) that states whether that's the case, or not. As much as I want to be optimistic, I'm inclined to agree. I bet big mo...
