Gents thank you. Seth thanks for the curves and Bruce I didn’t account for room dynamics and gains, these will be in and outdoor use.
The 12s it is. Timeless and Priceless. They really are.

OT15 w/3015 SPL Chart
Does anyone have knowledge or access to a SPL chart for an OT15 with the KL3015 installed in it? I can’t find one, and trying to make a decision between the OT12 with the 3012HO and the OT15 with the 3015, looking for a nice solid 100hz XO to these with as much sensitivity at 100-200hz as possible t...

Re: Omnitop12, my first
Man this is great. Kind of breathed some fresh air into this design and got my interest going again. Updates on how things have been going? How has the overall performance been with the Chinese CD Horns? Has anyone else purchased the horns since November? Happy New Year all. Out of curiosity would y...

Re: Comp Driver OT15
Ahh that’s an idea! Didn’t think of that. Off topic but with the Eminence shortage, has anyone used the 18Sound 15MB700 driver in the OT15? It’s just shy in Qts by 0.01 on the low end, however the suspension for the Vas is within spec as well as the other parameters. It has a nice rising response an...

Comp Driver OT15
Can someone tell me how much space behind the comp horn array there is in an OT15? I’m looking at using already stocked B&C DE250s. It looks shallower than behind the OT12 just due to them being further from the center.
Thank You

Re: DR300- Plans have wooden horn, pics have vendor supplied?
I wanted to share these SPL curves. My comparison is the OT12 (premium load) the DR280 and the 250. Look closely at the response from 150~200hz and up of all three. The OT12 is right there with the DRs. That dip at 1.2k may normalize with multiple cabs or can be improved with XO phasing or delay twe...

Re: DR300- Plans have wooden horn, pics have vendor supplied?
Thanks Grant. All good info. As for the J-array, no flying plans. Understood 100% on the engineering. Not even a fleeting thought. My thought is a ground stack using the J array hardware with lateral support (horizontal not vertical) at the top for stabilization. All the weight is stacked. I will be...

Re: DR300- Plans have wooden horn, pics have vendor supplied?
Thank You. I’m awarenof the operational differences and am choosing a box that is a cry once build and buy. You can always scale down if you have too much rig. Scalable is key. Also, yes, my weight question has to do with set up and tear down. So the two man lift is not so much an issue as is the er...

Re: DR300- Plans have wooden horn, pics have vendor supplied?
Thank You!! What I expected but wanted to confirm.
While I have you Grant, what is the weight difference between the 280 and 300? Im searching and looking for it and am coming up empty.
Thanks much

DR300- Plans have wooden horn, pics have vendor supplied?
I was hoping to use the vendor supplied prefab horns as seen in the pictures for the DR300. The plans have a wooden horn assembly, no supplier prefab horns. Is the wooden horn a better horn? Is it possible to build it using the prefab vendor supplied horns? Im wondering if they are no longer produce...

Re: My 3D printed Diffraction horn for compression drivers OTOP12
Question:
Can a single piece Horn (2 drivers) be designed and 3d printed for say a DR280 or DR300 in lieu of the two sliced horns? I guess same for the OTs in lieu of the wooden horn and diffuser?
This would be a worthwhile improvement to the original design.
Thoughts?

Re: Dr 280 compatible 12 inch speaker?
Question, If the Fs of a chosen driver is 54 (In Limits) Vas is 66 (in limits) Xmax of 6.5mm (exceeds min limitation), however the Qts is slightly below the .3 min at .23 with a high Bl of 24 and a Mms of 49 what will be the consequences in terms of performance of the low Qts? (Qes is .23 and Qms is...

Re: 2512 vs 3012
Last question, If something comes up and I cant go NSD, my backup plan is the BMS 4544 or 4550 (if 4544 not abailable) 1” Ferrite CD (or 4547/4552 Neo if the Ferrite arent available). Teritary to that is the DE250, however that has had numerous reports if distortion and breakup at moderately high le...

Re: 2512 vs 3012
I've been a fan of the D Pro 12-450 since it was introduced. The only argument against the NSD is if you want more of them later on you may not be able to get them, but otherwise I'd use them, especially if the price was right. I believe I found a stash! Shhhh That was the best news I heard in a wh...
