Mixer issues
I run the sound for some small club nights with the T 48's. The DJ has upgraded to the mixer below but we can't figure out how to output mono from it into the DCX. Any DJ's on here have any suggestions? I can set the dcx up for stereo but that's not ideal. Ta. http://www.allen-heath.com/ahproducts/x...

Re: Desk choice.
Thanks everyone. I really have little experience tbh and will have to research what 'gates and comps' do with regard to micing the drums. For the last party I borrowed a friends old desk (I'll find the model and put it on here). That worked really well considering we don't know what we are doing! Fo...

Desk choice.
Can someone recommend a small mixer/desk please? Ideally something with 8 xlr inputs for instruments/vocals and possibly micing up the drums. Having read that I might need more than 8 inputs.? I don't think I want loads of facilities just something basic. Also I'm more than happy to buy second hand ...

Re: Cheap amps.
I thought my Berry ep 2500 was cheap, this is nearly half the price!
Cheap way of owning a back up amp though and 450 watts @ 8 ohms for 175 quid is bloody cheap. I don't suppose you'd want to run it flat out every night but like I said for an emergency it's a bargain.

Re: processors with hard limiting / dcx replacements
I think I get that Byacey. (sorry if this counts as a hijack!) I just remember Bill's sticky about an underpowered amp not being able to bust a speaker even if it is clipping if the speakers can handle the extra power anyway?? Can you help with this please? My Berry EP 2500 does about 65 volts with ...

Re: processors with hard limiting / dcx replacements
You do need a meter to see if the limiter is working. The amp can clip all it likes and the limiter keeps it at 60 volts that's the point. The purpose of the limiter is to prevent amp clipping and over-excursion of the speaker. The digital meter is fine for adjusting the limiter threshold with a st...

Re: SLA pro and single T24 at wedding
Brilliant! I had the same comments with the Titans. People were saying 'are they working'. In the end I turned the subs off for a moment and the music sounded like a wasp in a beer can!

T48's review
Well I had my field party. It was the wifes 40th so we had about 150 people up. Had the T48's set to the side of the stage v plated and covered in waterproofish material as it lashed it down!
