Re: DR250 Time Lapse Photos
Well, seeing as about 103% of my guitar listening is done with my eyes, I'd say the Ovation's grotesque head stock looses. The oval back is really awkward to play on, too. It slides all over the place. Forget about sitting down while playing it. I use my ears, that could be the difference  Un...

Re: DR250 Time Lapse Photos
You can hate me all you want, I'll even pay shipping :) They blow away any wood back I've played in my 40+ years of playing, and the electronics are perfect for the studio... Don Looks like we are going to have to have a intervention for Don.....he's become addicted to humped-back guitars. We need ...

Re: DR250 Time Lapse Photos
Not pictured: An Ovation acoustic/electric that I absolutely hate. Ex-girlfriend's dad let me "borrow". Kept it after stuff went south between me and her. Ovation...yuk....looks like the dad got the best of that deal by getting rid of it. Absolutely. I'm just holding onto the Ov...

Re: Wedgehorn 8 lite
Hi Don, I didn't think a top hat would fit in a WH8. Does the tip of the top hat end up just in front of the baffle and through the bottom horn panel? Where it is it missed everything inside. Place it as far back as possible, so the ring just starts to overlap the angled edge. Be sure the higher an...

Been super busy here, Just working ;) Mid December I had to do sound for my wife's expo, http://www.healingpathexpo.com , in a pavilion down the road from us. This is the 3rd year, and never been happy with the sound til this year. The room is 'L' shaped, all beautiful wood floor to ceiling, and one...

I will get finished pictures up, but have been swamped with work
They are just flat black sprayed right now, will put up the pics when they get the Duratex treatment...
Did run them real quick in the backyard, aiming towards the mountains, very impressive for the size, to say the least.

Yes you do. You also have a pretty handy, if oversized, home theatre, just quietly. Arrr now then Gregory, good point. If you knew my wife however, there's 2 chances of any of that coming into the house. It's "music crap" and it's only place is with all my other "music crap" (dr...

Re: Wedgehorn 8 lite
I didn't think any one else would be impressed at all.... Don Don, Having done a few builds myself lately lol, I have to say good on you once again! Perhaps to you it's no big deal to draw things up in CAD then cut them with a CNC, as that's what you do. However, watching you knock up builds in no ...

Re: Wedgehorn 8 lite
This thread is absolutely disgusting (I don't have a better word for it)! What does that mean? Couple years ago I was at Winter NAMM, and Monte Montgomery performed at the Acoustic Cafe'. After a series of leads, my friend jumps up and yells "I QUIT!" That was funny! Seriously, you've man...

Got the Wedgehorns done in time, just barely  Only one quick coat of black paint, and they ROCKED!! Long day yesterday, 4 bands, from a bluegrass duo to a 6 piece doing eveything from bluegrass to Greatful Dead, and a spattering of KILLER blues... Every band commented on how well they could he...

 2 Melded arrays built and wired. CHECK Sanded and painted 1/2" W8. (1 side to go) CHECK Isn't it amazing how painting the cab makes it look SO much better. :loler: The tweeters look much better live, not sure what the flash did... Only have to paint the other side panel, add the f...

Re: Wedgehorn 8 lite
Finishing up and 1/2" W8 and a W8 lite today. Down to the wire on this one. Had to borrow a pair of Mackie 450's, since no way to get the Jacks and the monitors done in time. I used the Mackies last time we did this, and they worked fine. Just 3 folk/bluegrass bands in a small outdoor setting. ...
