that is exactly what i'm trying to figure out. what the difference is between a "peak limiter" and a "brickwall limiter". there are brickwalls listed in the dcx and the 8024, but i would love to stick with my deq if i could.

it has a limiter for sure. but i believe it is a peak limiter. just wondering if it would be sufficient for speaker protection or not. i have an 8024 as well but really enjoy the size, flexilbity and ease of use of the deq.

just picked up a deq and was wondering if the limiter functionality was adequate enough or if i would still need to spring for the companion dcx?
