+1 works well for me I picked one up last month for my DeWalt 12" saw, fits well enough, and used the stock bolt. Upon initial install, the saw shook a bit like it was out of balance, turns out the laser washer was not centered. To even it up on the shaft, I turned the laser guide in the direct...

Ummmm.... it's cordless. Please correct me if I am wrong, but it appears that Dewalt and others make chargers that charge their cordless tool batteries from 240V mains as well as from 120. It is a 18V cordless tool that takes the same shape and size 18V Dewalt batteries as all of the other Dewalt 18...

+1 on the DeWalt Cordless

Watch Amazon, got mine (Refurb, no battery or case, but came with a blade) for $49.99 plus shipping/tax.

If you've already got the 18V Dewalt stuff, it is a steal!

+1 on the Avanti blade too - not as thin a kerf, but the cuts are beautiful!

Fosters does not equal Tui

Fosters does not equal Tui. This much I know. Enjoyed more than a few Tui's while wandering around New Zealand. Don't think I have ever enjoyed a Fosters. (OK, OK, they're not that bad...but I preferred XXXX or VB) I know - the reply is off topic, but I did learn a few really good ideas in the previ...

Or plan B: Buy what you want, give it to a friend. Have him bring it over in front of your wife and say: "Thanks, buddy, for letting me borrow this stuff." Remember, there hasn't been a war office yet that could keep track of it's supply officers.... That is one I have to remember. Not th...

Sheet Layout and Panel Optimization

Free (as in free beer) panel optimization software.

Not too hard to figure out, and seems to work well enough, especially for the $$$ involved. I didn't make it, I just use it. Thanks a bunch to the developer.

Hope that this is useful to someone.

Re: Hurricane Nuts in plywood

While installing the driver in an Autotuba, we managed to either cross-thread or damage the threads in three of the Hurricane Nuts. .... I always try the bolt with finger pressure only, if it doesn't go in easily I chase the threads of both the nut and the bolt until it does go in by hand. Someone ...

Hurricane Nuts in plywood

Just an FYI - careful with the torque you put into Hurricane Nuts that are installed in cheap plywood!!! While installing the driver in an Autotuba, we managed to either cross-thread or damage the threads in three of the Hurricane Nuts. The individual installing the driver (NOT ME!!!) kept twisting ...

Review of Bill's Plans (David, TT, AT, THT)

Just purchased Bill's plans for the AT, TT, THT, and David. In a nutshell, they are definitely worth the price, even if you have read the relevant AudioXpress articles. The plans provided are far more detailed, the graphics are much easier to read, and the included sketchup models are very helpful. ...
