Re: Omni 12 2-10?...yup.

Thanks, DJPhatman. Yeah, I thought about a new thread but thought it'd be more fun to bump this old one. And this way you got to post your cool zombie thing. "For the Omni that you have, if your 10s are wired in parallel, consider each cabinet as a 4 Ohm load. Only the horn loaded subs add impe...

Re: Omni 12 2-10?...yup.

So how about bumping an OLD thread! Still rocking the O12 210 and it still sounds great. We're looking at replacing/upgrading our PA and I'm trying to remember how this thing works, as far as ohms and such. I'm no expert on these things so thought I'd ask the pros around here. Can someone give me a ...

Yep, it was Leland. Here's the thread where I first saw him mention it.

Can you double check this link? I tried 2 different browsers and can't get it to open to anything but a blank page.

Omni 12 sub

I recently built the Omni 12 210 sub. We've got a Soundcraft Gigrac 1000 powered mixer, Peavey PR15 mains and PR12 monitors. Signal runs from the PM to the sub to the mains. We're only running kick drum through it so far but will probably run instruments, too, in certain situations. I've used it twi...

Re: Omni 12 2-10?...yup.

Well, I've got the tunes cranked right now and it's sounding pretty good. (B.B. King at the moment but it's on shuffle so who knows what'll pop up next)

:D

edit add-Hah! Deep Purple came up next! Quite a difference!

Re: Pusha-me Pulla-you Sonametrics or Isosonics

For future reference you can use the same trick out of the box with just the drivers placed one on top of the other face on. Thanks. I was wondering about that. I think I'll just hook it up to another cab and and amp and play my ipod through it for awhile. A little broken in is better than none, ri...

LOL @ the "large, enthusiastic crowd"

I can't run 2 cabs face-to-face, though, because I only built 1 cab.

I was meaning to ask about that. Any suggestions? I've read that just running music through them will help.

Thanks for the offer, Leland. It just looks skewed because of the angle I took the picture. It's fine as it is.

Re: Omni 12 2-10?...yup.

Finished it up today. Kind of a bittersweet ending. I'm happy it's finished and I'm really looking forward to trying it out with the band (Friday eve) but I had such a great time building it and I'm kind of sad it's over. Can't wait to get started on my next project (wedgehorns) but it might not be ...

Re: Omni 12 2-10?...yup.

I know the picture looks kind of confusing. I wasn't really laying it out to have it double checked. I was just showing my progress. I'll plug it all in and try it out today and I'll let everyone know my outcome. So did you put any dampening material in yours at all, Tim? If not, maybe you should ad...
