Re: 2 DR250 build - Europe Materials
Really slow as it gets colder again and the workload has no concept of shrinking... But i got the middlebraces on and sanded the sheats flush everywhere :) 1000037167.jpg This is the gap i mentioned before...the frame behind it is flush (zooming in the gap shows). Not sure how to finish that. Sanded...

Re: 2 DR250 build - Europe Materials
And again the glue sets. But i have to admit, it has a very pleasant and aesthetic view now as the parts come more and more together :) 1000037091.jpg 1000037090.jpg The sheat from the horn side doesnt close to zero; when sanding the lf-horn flush i wasnt as accurate as i should have been. Will fill...

Re: 2 DR250 build - Europe Materials
Back to the DR250s (finally) sadly the weather and then the incoming workload have frozen the progress, not as fast as i hoped to be. But. Now i got all the small parts fronm the HF-Module done, and finally glued them in. Next will be the sides of the HF-Module, and when it is removed from the cab t...

Re: T30/T48/T60
Looking around for possible Amping situations: When going the T30 way, i can run one powersoft K10 to power up to 6 cabs per channel oO? So the K10 gives me 6000 W @ 2 Ohm stable, not bridged. Using the above LaVoce-Driver (400W program/800W peak) i end up at 5000 W program/8000 W Peak when inside t...

Re: T30/T48/T60
Also the black parts are limited by either excurson, voltage ore maximum power intake; but all driver related. Thats just how hornresp works, driving every frequency until there is a limit reached, when asking for max spl. I'd also assume to take the lowest dent in a given area, and take that as a m...

Re: T30/T48/T60
Soooo, i think i figured at least the hornresp horn modeling part correct. The following figures resulted: Tuba30, external width 30", dual 12" Driver (applies to all) Here the Stack of 4, V-Plated, Driver is the 3012LF, max SPL: T30 30 dual 3012LF 4Stack maxSPL VPlate.png Here the Stack o...

Re: T30/T48/T60
I play 100% EDM spread between D&B, house, techno, breaks, and hiphop. Which is already sort of the genres where the listener has a faible for lower frequencies... Thank you for that insight! Looks nice :) And thank you as well for the idea with the gaps, will keep that in mind. I'll continue f...

Re: T30/T48/T60
2c from a fellow bass lover. I chose T30 for the extension and I can tell you that with modern day track mastering being as beastly as it is, volume is NOTHING if you can't hit the low notes. But, I'm fussy. I dont like hearing low end drop off when content is there, it is not pleasing at all. Choo...

Re: T30/T48/T60
Go make some sawdust! It's way more gratifying..... I would if i could :D Right now here the world is frozen with around -15°C/5°F; not a comfy situation for fiddling with the little parts that would be the next step. And as i got to wait for that to change, and have spare time handy (at least the ...

in unraveling and reverse engineering his intellectual property. To be honest, i don't get that part. Maybe i am just to far away from that, but wouldn't be the only benefit i could gain from that to draw a plan and build a box...like the plan i already bought from bill to build this box? This seem...

Re: T30/T48/T60
I'd consider elevating them a little more if practical. Thank you for that hint, will keep that in mind. First full flown setup will take a ton of testing and measuring, so thank you in advance. You may have seen this thread already. It's worth a read if you haven't. Outdoor DJ Tuba 30 vs Titan 48 ...

Re: T30/T48/T60
To the Hornresp-gaming around... I did something, based on assumptions. The first part of the Horn i assumed as the throat chamber, as i would run out of segments way too fast otherwise. According to the hornresp-forum, this is somehow valid. Also ignoring the driver entry point, as offset position ...

Re: T30/T48/T60
You could probably have some fun with the SPL tool. Here's the link... Introducing SPL chart. Ah, thank you for that. I've seen the spl-tag but did not understand the link to the tool. This also only renders a graphic, do you (or anyone else) know if the data points are available for that? or do i ...

Re: T30/T48/T60
Here's what you'd have to build to match the output potential of eight T48's... Interesting, thank you for sharing that. Where did you got that numbers from? Simulating the cab with the drivers TS-parameters and manually adding the stacking and plating-part? I would be curious to try this out in di...
