Re: DR300 Eq + Ultradrive Settings

Hi Zack,

I'm back now. The DR300s are nothing short of excellent, in my opinion!

Re: Full BFM system - Tuba36, DR300, and some pics.

if you don't need at least two DR300 per side you don't need DR300. Noted, but they came up at a very attractive price! Even if you don't need them, they do the job, but are maybe a little larger than they need to be to do it. We had to hire a van to fit the tuba 36 anyway, so the size wasn't a pro...

Full BFM system - Tuba36, DR300, and some pics.

Just had a manic weekend running sound for a small charity festival my brother organised..Time was tight, we finished the 4th tuba 36 on the morning of the festival (no time for painting/finishing!) The Tubas were loaded with definimax 4015lf, apart from one, which was loaded with a kappaLF (all we ...

DR300 Eq + Ultradrive Settings

Finally got my whole system up and running this weekend......Some pics will be posted up in the review section soon. (except for of the EQ I used here). Re: New BF system

Do you find that the tops are at all precarious stacked that high? Or are they stable? (Ie, what would happen if someone basked into them?).

Why would it make a difference if the subs were split or stacked together? Sorry, no i understand that dave, but I'm saying, the subs/tops cancelation still occurs when you stack subs together. If you were running one big mono stack, the same cancellations between tops/subs could occur. do this twi...

Ok, lets assume the dr250 is stood on top of the tuba 36 and there's a path length difference of 1.5m. Where the wavelength is 3m, (~100hz), there'll be a cancellation if both speakers are producing this frequency. so delay the tops so that ouput from them comes out in phase with the subs. Not so mu...

Delay

What is the path length difference (in feet or ms) between a dr250 and tuba 36? I would like all the sound to be cohesive at x-over frequencies, and want to make sure i buy a lms with enough delay on it. Out of interest, has anyone seen the bbe ds48 or have experience with it? I wondered if the para...

It's also worth thinning down aldcrofts with a bit of water for the first couple of coats. It gets into the grain better, and adheres a bit better, backing the thick plasticy coating it provides less likely to chip off.
