Re: J210 Lite Build
The bottom 210 was the first cab I've built. It's just a standard normy vented cab (not horn loaded), wrapped in Tolex. The J210 is by far louder than the normy bottom cab, but the bottom cab's primary function is to get the J210 off the floor and closer to ear level and add a little bit of texture....

Re: J210 Lite Build
Had this rig out for practice today. Still sounds great. It's crazy just how sensitive/ loud these cabs are. @ 2 ohm load with amp volume knob about 10% (800 watt head) is plenty loud enough for a loud drummer/ and tube amp guitarist. Would that alone be enough to prolong the life of the transformer...

Well, I didn't want give all the credit to the Fralin pups. Whatever the secret sauce is, its a great comboBill Fitzmaurice wrote: ↑Sat Jul 19, 2025 3:30 pm The woofer low pass filter doesn't boost the mids. It reduces their attenuation, because like all horns the J15 is a bandpass device.

Re: First Jack15 build
Thanks! Yeah, I bought the premade filter from Leland at SpeakerHardware. I'm a big fan of mids so that's good 🤣. Better to have to duck frequencies than have to try to boost something that's missing. I'll post some pics of the finished cab in the practice room later in the week. You'll love it. If...

Re: First Jack15 build
As I was running a 30hz test tone through it I noticed the wires going to the piezo array were slapping the cab and making a heck of a racket. I have them stapled down at the array and back in the cab near the crossover but in-between those two points it's slappin. Anyone have suggestions on a way ...

Re: First Jack15 build
Looking great, dude! You'll be thumping through that thing in no time. Love the tweeters. Are you going with casters or rubber feet? I've got rubber feet on this one. I have been assuming all along that I'll most likely be building a second one for a 2x15 stack and I'll put casters on the bottom on...

Re: First Jack15 build
Nice looking build so far. Are you going with any tweeters, or woofer only? If woof only, I'd still recommend a LPF. Those delta lite neos sound so good in the jacks!
Also very interested to hear how your J15 performs up against your 2x15 when you get a chance to A/B test them.

Looking good so far. The lite builds can be tricky but very fun and gratifying to build.

Sexy sexy... sexy They are easy on the eyes. WOW! I love that color contrast against the black  Thanks Scott. The colors definitely compliment each other. Thank you Bill. This will make my third Jack build and each one has been a blast to build. It's even more gratifying to show up to ...

Re: J15 Build
Back is done, mostly. Few more little pieces of foam to glue in. Unfortunately I don't have time to shake the cab down, hopefully next week.

Re: J15 Build
Ah yea! Wicked cab mate  , you could ride it around the stage too :) Would you happen to have any black screws laying around..? Thanks bro, I'm very pleased with how its coming to life. The idea behind the big casters is, it will be the bottom cab and the 5" height will get it off of the...
