Re: 8x T39's

Maybe however, How do you know he didn't just get a copy from elsewhere? The forwarding of the original email containing the plans to prove ownership? Also you are hurting authorized builders in that area as they have to pay to be an authorized builder. Well since there's only one authorised builde...

Re: 8x T39's

That would sound fair. Or at least ensure that the purchaser owned the relevant plan.

Re: 8x T39's

Surely the way this went is that he built 8 with the intention of using them for himself, but circumstances have changed and he's said he's going to be forced to sell some of them. Not sure how different that is from me selling the OT12s I build a couple of years ago? FWIW, I already own a copy of t...

If you are selling some of these bad boys, I may be interested....

Look forward to hearing how the P-Audio drivers work out - look very good value!

Re: BEHRINGER iNUKE NU3000

Update time. I measured the voltage on the inuke and is was a disappointing 27 to 28 volts which by my reconing makes it less than 200w channel and the fan started to run seriously fast. I feel I've been done. Oh well, should have expected it really. As a matter of interest, I just did the same thi...

Re: Power amps for monitors - recommendations please

That would indeed prevent hf oscillation due to low impedance above audible freqs. But there may be more causes for issues. I remember to have read that piezo's sound harsh on low quality class D amps . This might be caused by insufficient filtering of the very high frequency switching that goes on...

Re: Does anyone know the release date for the iNUKE?

I asked Behringer about this, and they have said they are projecting a release date of end of July/early August.

So assume they'll be on general release by September time, I would guess?

Cool. When you've tested them, just chop 'em up and mitre them into a couple of melded arrays and post 'em down to me won't you - there's a good chap...

Re: Possible new Piezo for the UK

Hi Chris - nice one - I was thinking I might get a load, as I could always offload them on eBay without loss if they weren't quite right. However, if you're offering then I'll leave it to you to be the guinea pig :D

Re: Possible new Piezo for the UK

Indeed - I was wondering if anyone had done so already.

I'll do that at some point - I have a couple of the "normal" type already.

Re: Possible new Piezo for the UK

Thanks for the feedback. However, I'm not sure about that - I suspect my cut and paste of the (not directly equivalent) spec listing may have caused confusion. The MPT spec I listed shows the cutout as 98x55, rather than the external dims - I think that assumes it's surface mounted. Looking further ...

Possible new Piezo for the UK

Since the recommended piezo from CPC has gone through the roof in price, us UK-ers have been looking for alternatives. A fellow forum member over on Finnbass found this - also from CPC - Pulse PLS00306. The spec looks very similar: MPT016 Power Rating 225W (4Ω) / 115W (8Ω) Frequency Response 3-20 kH...

That's what I assumed, but this I filled the areas behind the horn sides and between the braces on two OT12's with about 1/3-1/2 bag. made me wonder, since the plans say to line the OT12s. But I guess it's hard to line those areas, so a gentle stuffing is perhaps all that can be achieved... (so to s...

...So are you saying that instead of lining the cabinet's inner surfaces, you can (lightly) stuff them with filler instead?
