Anybody use BBE DS26 Digital LoudSpeaker Management system?

EQ guys are using on their cabs/systems. A good starting place if you don't have your own RTA.

I own the ds48.

lack of graphic eqs is a pain, as is the serial port. besides that - it can be beat for $280 shipped.

7ms of delay is only useful for time-aligning drivers, not stacks. That's only about 7 feet of seperation, if me'sa recall correctly.

 Close enough...
( 1.13' per ms x7 =7.91' or .343M x7 = 2.4M )
( Have seen it used on monitors and bass array control )

Hm- cool. I've got the Behringer price from NSL but there's a BBE for sale open box at $198 including shipping. I'd be using it for 2 T38s and 2 DR200s. For someone who's money is tight, tight tight would I be making a big mistake buying this?

It will do the job, but I've read several reviews of the BBE online that were less than stellar. I have used the Behringer and can vouch for it.

And, before you buy from NSL, give Cal Mazzara at Full Compass a call. 800-476-9886. He actually beat NSL's pricing by a few bucks for me recently and he was much more pleasant to deal with. Tell him I referred you (not that it'll mean much, but still...)

Thanks, Brent. When I did several church installs (it's been about 5 or 6 years since I last did one) I used Full Compass also. At the time they beat everybody's prices by a pretty good margin on package deals. The salesman that worked w/ me is no longer there.
Yeah, after refreshing myself w/ the Behringer spec sheet it's obviously the better buy. Thanks for the input, ya'll!

I am in the market for the DriveRack 260, and was thinking NSL was the ticket.
I know about Full Compass, but have never investigated them.

For me, saving the final dollar is less important than buying from a reputable firm.
My biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my toys for what I said I paid for them.

I can't speak highly enough about FC and Cal. I did an install for a church on a budget a while back, and the mutlicore I ordered had some electrical problems (it was the cheap stuff, but all they had budget for). I called Cal back to ask about switching it out, fully expecting to pay shipping both ways, maybe even restocking, etc. He switched it out, no questions asked, paid for all shipping, and upgraded me to Belden to make sure I didn't have any problems. He's gotten the pricing right the first time every time I've had quoted from him, and while his unit prices may be a bit higher than NSL, he usually makes up for it on shipping and gets the total package darn close, if not even a few bucks better.

When I called NSL about ordering parts for my SAC system, they were less than helpful, and would not guarantee, or even estimate, shipping times for ground. Cal knew exactly how long ground would take (and gave it to me free), and his quote was $10 less than NSL (incl. shipping) for the whole order.

Full Compass has my business from now on, as much as possible.
