Are there any specs on Kustom or other cab manufacturers using nonstandard Eminence bass drivers?
What's the odds that a Kustom bass 8x10 neo 2000W rated contains drivers pretty damn same as DL2510? What would be the point of monkeying with the specs anyway?

No manufacturer posts their specs, lest you buy replacements from other less expensive sources, or you figure out how little they paid for theirs.Gregory East wrote:Are there any specs on Kustom or other cab manufacturers using nonstandard Eminence bass drivers?

If it's an Eminence on a Deltalite II frame, about 99.9%.What's the odds that a Kustom bass 8x10 neo 2000W rated contains drivers pretty damn same as DL2510?
Slight, and then only if your boxes are engineered by someone who really knows what he's doing. That's not the case with entry level outfits like Kustom. What would be the point of monkeying with the specs anyway?

So the whole "custom drivers by Eminence" speil is just marketing jazz I take it. Worth digging a bit deeper then....
They don't claim neo drivers and it's 150 lb, 18mm ply 8x10. Same ballpark as other non neo cabs so that scratches that.

The only thing special about 'Fender Special Design' drivers going back 50 years is the sticker.Gregory East wrote:So the whole "custom drivers by Eminence"

I think the DL2-2510 is good value for money, but a single cab with 8 of them inside would still be rather expensive, even if the manufacturer buys them by the truckload rather than one by one as us mere mortals. If it had the neo's and were affordable, it would be a great source for cheap Deltalite drivers for usGregory East wrote:8x10
