Hornresp
Hornresp
Can anyone shed some light on this program. I feel like a put the parameters for the driver in and I'm lucky to get a response below 100hz. I know this is something I'm not entering right. I understand how the horns work and such just not sure of what the program is wanting me to give it info wise. My problem is probably in the throat area, but again not sure. Also, the system design feature is baffleing to me. Is it laying a horn design out for me with the info i put in or is this something else. Anyway, I know alot of you guys use this program and I try to but am not doing something correct.
if you build it they will wish they had it

Re: Hornresp
If you entered the driver parameters and use the system design tool to design the horn from the driver parameters and there's no response below 100Hz that means the driver isn't suitable for below 100 Hz.
Re: Hornresp
Well that was my thought however, I was trying it with some of the drivers that are used in the tuba subs. I have the plans so I'm not trying to redesign them I was just using that as a reference point. I do that alot of the time to learn a program like this. I guess I would call it hands on algebra. I already know the answer just not how to get the answer. I hope that makes sense.

danderson,
Try the params I gave for this horn: http://billfitzmaurice.com/phpBB2/viewt ... =15#p67819 just to see if you're getting in the zone. Should be dropping off at 22Hz.
For driver configuration use 2s x 8p (16) and Ang: 1.0xPi
I like the new 20.10 version. I can run it under Wine on Linux at work

If knowledge is power, why is it the more I learn the more I realize how much I don't know? Well, that isn't empowering.
