ok, now im totally convinced

#1 Post by Nate J »

so i built 2 t-48s, finished a week ago, but i didnt have time to really try'em out till today. I ran'em up against my 2 brand new Peavey SP-218 subs, pushed by a CS4000 amp. I powered the t-48s with a wimpy low end Crest 1500.

The t-48s totally rocked, At first I wasnt sure how to tak'em, the bass was "all enveloping" and I have never herd that before from my system. I was pleased with my peavey subs and they never let me down, but I had no idea the difference folded horn subs would make. They are totally a whole 'nother level above the peaveys.

Usually on my crossover, i would have full signal going to the subs, and have to cut the tops back to about half to have a good balance together. With the t-48s i had to quickly rein them back, cause they immediately outran my tops.

Needless to say, the peaveys are for sale, and 2 more t-48s are in the immediate future plans.

I got pics of my build, just got to get the cam back from my dad, I'll be posting soon. Thanks alot Bill for these great designs and thanks to all the great advise I got here from the forum members. I couldnt be more happy.
huh?
