Bosch PMF 180 Multi-Tool...who has one?

This looks to be a very handy tool.

The War Office spied this in a Hardware Store today for sanding wooden painted window frames and I suddenly came alive ( but kept quiet of course ) when I saw how many attachments this tool has and how many uses I could put it to.

She's buying it....but guess where it will be stored

I just wondered if any of you had one. :?:

I particularly liked that little saw blade - it would come in real handy for cock-ups!

Haven't see this one in the flesh, but it is an imitation of the "Fein Multimaster"
which I have had for 5 years, it looks incredibly useful, and it is incredibly popular in germany, and it has saved my bacon once, but that is pretty much it, the machine itself is unreasonably expensive as well as the tools, come to think it's a lot like a dremel, looks super useful, but there are tools out there doing a much better job more quickly and cheaper.
If you need to cut off something use a jigaws or angle grinder and who on earth wants to remove grout?? if you want to take off tiles use a hammer and a broad chisel, the sander was particularly dissappointing being slow and leaving circular patterns even with the fine paper.

Just what do you and the War Office have planned? Sounds a lot like a bad Tenacious D song gone awry!
I'm not a musician, but I play one in a band.

Oh - She is wanting to paint the windows in our house of horrors we moved into. The previous owners would make cowboys look like journeymen, their renovating and building skills were abysmal.

My immediate thought when I saw the tool was that the reciprocating saw blade would come in real handy sawing in between wood joints that are nailed, and of course I am not past nailing parts to my cabs and then thinking ^&^%$&(&# - I needed to do something else with that panel first

Yeah I know it looks really cool, maybe you just need to get one to quench your tool fever. But I just found it to be slow and inaccurate when trying it on any remotely hard material, great for cutting pet bottles or other thin plastic, okay so maybe stripping paint on your window would work well.
How much is it?

That's about half of what the Fein costs, very well then go forth with your card of plastic and let it be swiped.
