Recovering from the flood and time to get back to work.
Would there be any advantage to using a sound deadener to the interior of speaker cabs? This is the product I am refering to.

The reason I ask is I have some here left over after appling it to the interior panels on a car audio install. this stuff worked wonders to improve the sound of my polk component set in the doors of my van. I know we are talking about sheet metal as opposed to wood but I wonder.
I guess what I am getting at is... Are the cabinet resonances part of the design of BFM speakers or would it help to deaden the panels somewhat? How about using this on the baffles? Is a non resonating, dead baffle a good or bad thing?
Like I said, I already have some of this stuff here so it's no extra cost.

Our cabs aren't resonant, so a coating would have no effect.I guess what I am getting at is... Are the cabinet resonances part of the design of BFM speakers or would it help to deaden the panels somewhat? How about using this on the baffles? Is a non resonating, dead baffle a good or bad thing?
