Auraco plywood at lowes

#1 Post by brodave2 »

Seems to be some pretty good stuff, but! If you cut narrow strips of it they will warp. Curl up almost like a pretzel. I still think it's one of the best bargains in plywood, but be aware. I know some of the designs use narrow strips of plywood for various things. It curls up.

It won't be a problem if you don't cut it before you use it. Once assembled it's fine. It also helps not to be in a high humidity environment, but in your case low humidity is only about six or seven days a year.

low humidity in Houston is 50%. I'm going to rip some solid pine for the thin strips, piezo bank mounts and such.

I have some of the stuff that has been out in the weather for about a year with no paint and no protection and it hasn't delaminated.
