THT LP 36", 2/6 Brace shape

#1 Post by DriftlessIA »

I am building a TubaHT Low Profile in 36" width. I am going to use four sets of braces across the width.

When it comes to the four 2/6 braces, two of them will need a 1/2" tall cut-out for driver clearance. How about the other two braces, which are not located directly over the driver? Should I leave them solid (which would change the volume and geometry of the beginning of the horn), or should I cut out a similar 1/2" tall cutout to allow the sound/pressure to fill the full 35" width of the horn?
