So I've spent a fair bit of time in hornresp and SketchUp this year and I've managed to get a rough deconstruction of the t48. After punching a bunch of compatible drivers in I have come across a particular driver that is of interest to me. The model in question is called SB audience Rosso-15sw800. Now I know for a fact that this driver is suitable for horn loading because Scott Hinson designed the Neman horn around the 18 inch version, and it's become pretty popular in both the DIY and boutique communities. This driver is under 200$, simmed sensitivity is practically identical to the 3015lf, and actually outperforms it with about 3db in max spl over the 3015lf. For those of you looking to get the best bang for your buck, or who don't have access to eminences catalog at an affordable price, this could be a great value high performance option. I mean it might even be a valid upgrade path if you are willing to overlook the weight.

Re: Eminence omega pro 2k
I don't know what the Omega Pro has to do with this. The Rosso 15W-400 has virtually the same response as the 3015LF, but maximum SPL is about 1dB bit lower, as it has less xmax and Pe. I would say good bang for the buck, if you don't mind the weight.

Sorry I was originally going to post about the omega pro 2k but this popped up. Also I guess there is two versions of the driver and I dropped the wrong link. Here is the 800 watt version, 230$ 11.28mm xmax https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/s ... subwoofer/

Re: Sb audience Rosso 15
Come to think of it both of these drivers are a good buy. A little on the heavy side but if you are looking for a monster to sink some power into the 15sw800 would be great for something like an install, or to cater to a rowdy dubstep crowd. It's the same price as the 3015lf was when I first bought my kit. And maybe if you are building a big heard the 15sw400 could offer significant savings at little performance cost. I mean 100$ off of 8 drivers is nothing to scoff at. Even 60$ adds up.
