Grant Bunter

#1 Post by Keryn O'Shea »

Hi everyone,
The legendary man who is Grant Bunter has passed away peacefully and not in pain on the 25th October. Chances are if you're reading this he had taken time to help you on your BFM adventure, and if you were lucky enough to meet him, you'll remember his dry humour and razor quick wit!
Once and obituary is available, I'll post it here. (I'll be out of mobile phone service until 12pm Monday 30th)
I can pass on messages to Chrissie his wife by way of screenshots from this forum topic.
Although he isn't with us now, we still have his wealth of knowledge in the pages of this forum for future generations to come.

Vale Grant Bunter, thanks mate, you're a champion

While he was in hospital, l built him this gadget for a laugh and as a token of appreciation from all of us at BFM, he called it his prize 🙂

I am so sorry to hear this. We swapped a few messages a few days ago. I was hoping and praying there might have been a solution for him.

A good man and a good and valuable member of this forum.

Even though I never got to shake his hand, I considered him a friend.

Rest in peace, brother.

:(

Though recent in the forum, I've been lurking for 10 years. Grant's posts were always helpful. He has been a mainstay here.

Rest in peace. And thank you for everything.

Awe man. So sad. As many of you know, Grant and I have had conflicting personalities from day one. Last year he and I had some productive PM's and I'm not entirely sure he shared the sentiment, but I grew to genuinely regard Grant as a friend and told him so. I PM'd Grant a week or two ago, shared some medical woes of mine, and asked how he was doing with his. He read it almost immediately, but never responded. Now I know why.

Rest in peace friend. I'll miss you around here.

Keryn, thank you.

So so sad. I don't post that often but I feel I know all of you. Its my daily morning routine to log on and check the happenings. I'm a weekend warrior that relies on your expertise to get through my challenges.
I will miss Grants inputs to all the issues raised for sure.
But as I age I know that the people in you life are what makes it worth living. Even if you have never met face to face.
Rest well my friend.

Wow, this post left me speechless. Grant has been such a staple on the forum, a real pillar. Though I never knew him personally, this news left me teary eyed. This group is so supportive, both by sharing knowledge as well as being encouraging to each other in our diverse pursuits.

Rock on, brother, wherever you are.

There will be a celebration of Grants life in Ilfracombe on the 15th December which is his 60th birthday, so no formal service as such, they will scatter his ashes on the family farm as per his wishes.
