Enjoy your journey!

I have the same earmuffs at work. I like them.

I use the 3M muffs. Has AM/FM and bluetooth. They get a lot of use during garage/ shop time and yard work.

I was hesitant to share this picture because it will make any flaw completely unacceptable given the equipment I was able to access....but what the heck, I'm a beginner. Main panels are cut!

Compression drivers or tweeters?

I'm gonna try for that cross firing tweeter array. I made two TLAH and two SLAs so wiring them up should be not terribly different. At least that's the current plan!

Is the jigsaw the thing to use cutting out the baffle? Mine tore the crap out of the plywood.....it was a mutiliation. I'm going to give it a bit of bondo or something but whoa! Maybe it's a blade issue? I just used whatever I found rattling around at the bottom of the case, not sure what it was made for (It looked sharp)

A jig saw can be used. A fine-toothed blade will produce better results but will take longer to make the cut, as opposed to a coarse tooth blade. What a bunch of people do is cut about and 1/8" away from the cut line, and then use a powered router to bring the cut to the line by using a guide.

Spent some time making a couple of router jigs for circles. These worked pretty well.

Ah now that is a good idea, thanks :)

Making faster progressed than planned and...for the most part...it's going well. But the baffle....oh boy, I'm looking forward to taking another crack at this someday on speaker #2. I have a question about the little lip that is shown in the arrows below...should I take a rasp or file or something and trim back the baffle until it is flush with the horn panels and throat reflectors or is that lip OK? Thanks guys :)

That lip is far too small to have any effect. Anything less than a quarter wavelength in dimension is invisible to sound waves. A quarter wavelength at 2kHz is 1.9 inches.
