Start of a very slow build…
No beauty contest here, but will be functional.

Thanks Bruce!
I’ve got it wired up to the ASDs and Betas for testing.
It makes music

Sweet. Congrats on kicking off the new project
How many tops are you making this time around?

Not as many as I’d like

This will be a very small, very mobile, rig. Two tops and two MAYBE four T39s
I loved my six DR six Tuba set up, but never had a chance to use it all together. Just took up too much room.

Looks great, I'm about to build crossovers for my DR200's dragging my feet as it'll be no beauty contest winner either!

Here's a few pictures, hard to find any time these days, though Spring is around the corner
Here i drew a line a line on my cross cut sled, to help me line up a stop block for cutting the CD horn pieces. I also made my original cuts bigger than necessary, so that i could cut up to the line.

That pool table will make a nice flat surface to build on. I'm not a pool player so it would work for me anyway lol

Ha! Indeed it would make for a great build table.
I do play and once in awhile convince the wife to play a few rounds. Somehow she mistakes it for a laundry table

The OT8 plans call for a phase plug extension, these are flat disc. Would there be any advantage to making them similar to the throat filter called out in the DR plans?

I tested various configurations, what's in the plans is what worked best.

Working on the CD horn.
I tried to glue everything as straight as i could, but ended up with some unevenness.

Nothing a sanding block can't knock down.

Kicking into full build mode now, as i have a gig on the 22md and 23rd
I'd love to get my T39s done as well, but if i can just get the OT8s done, it'll me a miracle. Which actually, for this gig, will be fine if there are no subs.
Going to try and grab as many pictures as i can along the way.
Just a blank for the CD driver, I did draw out the outline, center hole and mounting holes in QCad and then just used a pic to make the center holes.

I know ... way too much extra work here, but i've gone the extra mile and am routering an 1/8th deep slot for the panels to fit into. No weight penalty and will make for a stronger cabinet. ( yes i made the appropriate panels 1/4 longer to accommodate )
