Hey guys I have an old amp Yamaha M-85.Image

It has 3 pairs R/L channels. Does this have any potential in HT use? Or is it better suited for zone usage or garage duty?

Thanks

Stereo doesn't cut it for HT.....so, it's off the to garage or some other area where you listen in stereo.

I'd use it with dual subs, or just one channel
if I only had one sub, bird in the hand that it is.

Great thanks Bill and Bruce.

One more question:
I also have a Denon POA-5200 amp.

If I were to build a LPTHT with the Dayton Audio DVC385-88 15" DVC Series Subwoofer which Amp would be the choice?

Thanks again,

Oscar

Look at the ampere current draw on the back panels. Whichever is the higher probably has the most rubust power supply. The Denon says 4.7 amp on the spec sheet.
