Design query for a folded horn Cajon box

Hi Folks
I haven't been here for a few months since I finished the the subs but good to catch up on the latest news
I have recently built a Cajon box and was toying with the idea of a folded horn version. Is there a standard ratio of length to area that I should try to design to? I could try to reverse engineer some of Bill's designs but I am sure that some of you smart folks would be able to save me the effort

I think there was light discussion about something similar last year but I don't remember where it went. In my humble opinion, the easiest way to see if it's the sound you're looking for, you could knock together a truck tuba and put an 8" head from a tom tom where the driver would be. I know it probably won't be the most convenient shape, but it would be easier and quicker than a tuba18.

Seems like more problems than it's worth. Would create a bump in response from the horn that may or may not interact well with a PA and also potentially filter out HF, making a single mic usage for reinforcement near impossible. I tend to double mic anyway, but many don't.

Bigger cajons already have pretty deep response, and a kick mic in back can get good low thump even out of smaller boxes. Since so much is about the resonance of the box itself which would be braced out with the horn path, it sounds like a pointless exercise to me.

Then again, it may be interesting and surprise everyone.

You'd probably want a higher tuning on the order of 75Hz.
A smaller version of a rear loaded horn like the truck tuba with a length of about 1.2 metres and a fast expansion rate.
Something like the tuba HT or table tuba low profile but with the drum surface on the top, and stood on legs with the horn mouth facing downwards with an airgap.

I was always curious about the idea of doing a horn loaded kick drum for a drum kit. Attaching a semicircular giant "tuba" out of transparent plastic to the front would be an interesting experiment.

Now just gotta find out the thiele small parameters of a cajon surface

Because you drum this with your fingers, would you call it a tapped horn?
