T60 x2 build

I started building my T60's the other day and thought I'd share a couple of photos.
Both T60's are being constructed at the same time so I can make sure they are identical.
Panels are 450mm wide (just under 18") so overall width is 474mm (just under 19") and therefore obviously single Lab 12 loaded

- Marking out all the panels joins on one side

- Cutting out the access cover
I'm waiting for the PL Premium adhesive from the Budget group to arrive before I can progress

. Should be arriving soon since I ordered last week.

- Panels 1 and 2 cut and ready to be glued
My work space isn't huge but I'll make do with what I've got.
Many more photos to come

Hi Sam
How much PL did you have to order? I might take some off your hands if you had to get a whole carton.

Yeah, I ordered a whole carton.
Not sure how much of it I'll use but I'll hang on to half of them for future builds.
I'd be happy to get rid of a couple. How many are you after?

Quick progress after making an introduction!
You mentioned outdoor parties, what music? There were some T60s doing doofs somewhere around W.A, are they still in use?
Also, where'd you source the plywood?

Hey Bill- why is it that the T-60s seem to be the only tuba that uses the "pressure plate" aperture panel that the titans, DRs, etc use?

Other people provide the music, I just provide the gear.
It ranges quite a bit, but there's usually a lot of bass heavy music. I wouldn't be able to say exactly what though.

I got it from a place called Colli. They are a local lumber yard and the wood seemed to be fairly good quality.
Also, my glue arrived and I've started joining the first couple of panels. Pics to come soon.

If you do outdoor parties, don't you have a generator
Nice work on the sub btw

So close to finishing

- All braces installed and insides painted

- Second side glued and screwed

- Driver installed and wired

- PL squeeze out on all joins
Just have to do the air leak test, paint the outside in Duratex, install the cabinet hardware and seal the access cover.
Will be doing that plus a good testing tomorrow
