Jack 12 Lite construction pics

#1 Post by halftank »

Hello everyone

I have attached some construction pics of my two Jack 12 Lites. Just finished them, so I will reply to this post with the finished pics. They do look pro if I do say so! I pre cut all the parts and jigged most of the assemble. I also have a pic of a simple rig it made to form the smaller horn sheaths. The construction was very easy and took me about 3 weeks of evenings and weekends to complete
I built two at the same time.

As promised the finished pics. The cabs are straight subs with the Delta 2512 drivers no horns or tweeters. I have invested $610.00 CND.

I tried them for the first time last evening. For fun and comparison I hook them up to my current system which is a Fender 18" cab (not sure of model) that I run a Hartke A100 amp on. I left all the setting the same just unplugged the Fender and daisy chained the Jacks. WOW WOW WOW. blew the Fender 18" cab away. I had to lower all the settings the low end was AWSOME, I AM IMPRESSED. You only need a soft touch to get the strings to ring and such a low clean tone!. Very nice.

Nice :) Always good to hear people's first impressions of BFM cabs. When I first read this forum, I just knew that you couldn't fake responses like that!! The responses were so universally good, I even went so far as to question whether the forum was 'real' or whether it was just fake to help sell speaker instructions!!
Good to hear it all went well - your build looks tidy

Veeeee-ry nicely done!

PS: they are not subs, as per se, but rather, bass cabs.

Killer looking cabs. Can you give more details on the shop where they were built. It looks warm.

I guess with the Bowl coming, that would make sense. Personally, I was waiting for the Bar & Shield from Milwaukee to magically appear.

Yeah! I couldn't quite get the potato-potato sound. But I was shoot'n for a color combo like my 05 Heritage.

BTW. Bill, great job on the design I am blown away pardon the pun. You have my recommendation any day! And if anyone is wondering this design is so efficient my little A100 Hartke amp can rattle the planks of the floor above.
