#1 Post by jcmusic »

I just discovered this site as my quest for a sub that can match my main horn speakers. My mains are 108db efficent and I run them with a 2wpc amp, any advice is appreciate. I am hoping I can make a table tuba long version work, it is the only thing I have room for...

At 2wpc you can't exceed 111dB. A TT can easily match that.

Ok which one and why? My room is 13X16X8 I can only put it behind the stereo rack on the front wall, there is no place else to put it...

Either one will work for you, it just depends on what form factor is most suitable for you. The TT can be stood on edge at a wall or into a corner, whereas the TTLS can be a bench/sofa or stood on end with the opening at the top or raised with the opening at the bottom. It can be dressed to fade into the background or become a prominent piece of art. It's all your choice.

BTW, welcome to the forum.
