We sponsored a stage at an outdoor festival. 11 bands on our stage over a seven hour span. 30 minute sets and 15 minute backline changeovers. We were only 100 feet from the other stage, which really sucked. Much too close, very difficult to play when you could hear the other band. The other stage had a much larger system. Four times the drivers and power amps.
First, the sound system. Four OT12s with DL2512s. Two cross-firing arrays, two flat arrays. Four T39s with 3012lfs, two at 19", two at 28". The system sounded awesome. We were running it at the bleeding edge, but it still sounded great. I don't know if the other larger system was running at full power, but I was able to keep up. At the other end of the field, maybe 75 yards away, my system owned the larger system. Mine was still crystal clear, the other one was mush. The guy that assembled the other system then sold it to the current owners came over and asked me about my system. We was pretty much dumbfounded by the whole thing, especially when I showed him my tiny amp rack. He was raving about how good it sounded, especially at a distance. I sent him to this site, don't know if he will follow up. I was quite happy.

The three WH8s sounded great and they were loud enough that I had to tell our sound tech to back them down when we were on stage. We kept turning them up since they weren't feeding back, and the other bands never told us they are too loud even though the WHs were practically knocking them over. Absolutely awesome.
Our backline stuff sounded great as always. The Four Jack MegaStack did it's job. I could hear it really well on stage and it didn't muddy up the stage mix. Same thing with the XF210x2 our guitarist plays through.
So all in all, I was really happy with everything. I was nervous going in that my system wouldn't be able to keep up with the larger system. Like I said, I was running right at the max, but it did keep up. I could have used more subs just to not have to push them so hard, but the limiters did their job and everyone was happy.
The bass player from one of the bands on our stage used to own a sound system and do sound for bands. Toward the end of the night he told me that our stage consistently had the best drum sound of all of the stages. We got a lot of other compliments as well.
