TTLS 10"

#1 Post by Phil1 »

Hi guys,

I just wanted to share my already finished build of a table tuba long style with the recommended 10" Dayton DCS255-4.
The actual build took two full days. The performance is really good - I was using the TTLS in my one-room flat with 14qm for 4 months.
Because of problems with my neighbours I had to move the sub. So I had the great idea to put it in my car.

Enjoy the pics! :fruit:

As a former car audio nut, this interests me. I can't really tell from the video; is this a 4-door car w/the back seats folded down, or is it a hatchback? I fondly remember the days of the entire trunk of my Honda Accord 4-door and my Isuzu Trooper cargo area being full of nothing but sub box and amp rack. :hyper: It always puzzled people when they'd see me roll a cart full of grocery bags to the vehicle...and go straight for the back seat instead of the trunk/cargo area. You did an excellent job on the construction; that thing is bomb-proof. Isn't it amazing just how much quality output you can get from a single 10" driver in one of these folded horn designs?

Nice build....and it must sound great. :) But the video sound is bad and highly distorted. Are you able to turn down the mic gain on your camera, and turn down the volume on the head unit? That way the quality will come through. :)

It's a renault laguna, so I folded two of three seats down to get the sub in. It fits surprisingly good.
Some friends are somehow annoyed at the big subwoofer. They say it is a complete waste of space - not in my opinion!

I have still some space left in the back. Enough for some crates of beer.

Here is another picture of the car:

I can make more pictures if you are interested in.

And yes it sound really great!

sry for the bad audio/video quality of the video. It is captured with my smartphone, so I'm not able to adjust the mic gain.

thanks for the positve feedback!

Welcome to the exclusive club of people that have a Table Tuba in their vehicle! I've got a 24" regular style dual loaded TT in my car as well. Bet that thing pounds in your car. Yeah, I get the :o too and "dude that's a big waste of space". Until I fire it up.

Nice clean build!
