Re: Tricks with routers
Are we shop geeks or what. I just watched 7 minutes of a guy building jigs and running a router.

If it's too loud, you're even older than me! Like me.

Yeah.....and I thought he was going to make a continuous chain out of a single board. Now that would have been worth the 7 minutes.LelandCrooks wrote:Are we shop geeks or what. I just watched 7 minutes of a guy building jigs and running a router.

Re: Tricks with routers
Actually it was just as much the entertainment value as well as the handy little tricks building the jigs that made me think it was worthwhile posting.
Re: Tricks with routers
I have an uncle in Canada who did just that. After some pre machining the actual splitting and finishing of the chains is mostly manual work. A lot of it.Bruce Weldy wrote:Yeah.....and I thought he was going to make a continuous chain out of a single board. Now that would have been worth the 7 minutes.
Some cool routering jigs & tricks there Harley. Funny to see how some very simple jigs allow for special shapes to be routered easily.

I had a couple of ah-ha! moments watching this video. I'm such a hack... but I'm learning!
