Tuba 24 - 24" Single bp102 loaded

I now have 4 of these boxes and I just love them! Thanks to Bill for an easy to build, awesome sounding design. I will never go back to 18" reflex boxes again. They are definately as good if not better than advertised. I use a single pair for small to meduim church worship gigs and I just used 2 pairs for a couple outside gigs including one with a live band and they are deeper, cleaner, and tighter bass than an 18" by miles.

I did a city festival in the spring using 4 yamaha sw118s and 4 yamaha s115v tops. We ran 2 live bands and a singing contest, the system sounded ok. It was outdoors on our city's main street and the bass just seemed to kinda die out about 50' from the stage. That was 4- 18" subs running about 400w per box.

I just did another festival using 4- t24s, 24" wide with a single bp102 in each and used the same tops. I used the same amp for the tops and had the limiters set at about 22v on the subs. WOW! The bass was huge and the tops almost couldn't keep up. You could feel the bass at 100'. Thanks to alot of forum posts, I have now left a gap in the crossover points between the subs and tops and it sounds unbelievable. The band was impressed especially with the low end coverage outdoors. They couldn't believe all that bass came from 4- 10" speakers! After this weekends results, I believe that 8 of these boxes, v-plated, would outperform a friends system with 4 double 18" EV subs!

Now maybe its time to change the s115v tops for some dr-250s? Maybe in the spring..... :hyper:
