DBX Driverack PA+ Control Lock
DBX Driverack PA+ Control Lock
I have tried the DBX Forum and searched all I can, most of the responses are pertaining to the DBX DR PA (Not PA+). They talk about powering on while holding the "wizard" button to engage the lock system. The PA+ has a Wizard label for the series of three buttons (setup, auto-eq, and afs) I tried powering on the rig while holding the "AFS" button (closest to the wizard label), the DBX screen goes through boot up then is will sit blank for as long as I am holding the button (10-30 seconds). Once the is released, the system drops to the usual map screen.
I would like to lock the DBX down, one less stress point around bone heads. What am I doing wrong?

Re: DBX Driverack PA+ Control Lock
It's not uncommon for key holding patterns etc to change from one model to another in most brands.Traijin wrote:I have tried the DBX Forum and searched all I can, most of the responses are pertaining to the DBX DR PA (Not PA+). What does your manual say to do to lock the PA+ down?
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

Unfortunately, this was not covered in the manual, perhaps it does not exist...

Right then,
Contact DBX direct and ask them (not via the forum).
Tell them you've searched and asked at the forum and can't find out how to lock the PA+...

Re: DBX Driverack PA+ Control Lock
If you look at it that way Tom yep, for sure...
Page 1 isn't numbered until section 1, after the table of contents (table of contents is the 4th page of the document in PDF with Adobe V9) so that still adds up to reference to lockout on page 29. Or the page numbered 29 lol...
Either way, it's still in the manual as Bruce first pointed out.

Re: DBX Driverack PA+ Control Lock
So many posts for such a simple answer.
In order to make this thread searchable and answer the question easily, here is the summary:
To engage the DBX Driverack PA+ lock function, press and hold the "RTA" button during powerup, this will drop you into a system lock menu, use the selector wheel and page buttons to navigate.
It works fine, I locked my DR this morning.
Now (until the thread is purged) people can find the answer while perusing their favorite sound forum without downloading manuals or what have you.
Thanks for the input.

That's a bit harsh isn't it?
We all went to the trouble of finding or trying to find solutions for you.
I don't even own a DRPA+, nor a driverack of any description ...
I was gonna behave, but stuff it. With that attitude:
Next time RTFM, properly.

I was not trying to belittle the helpful people here. I have learned an amazing amount of information about pro sound from this forum and its patrons. I am trying to make this post useful for future reference. This question is posed all over the internet and not answered for the PA+. Now it is and crawlers will pick up on the terms in this thread. It could possibly lead to more people finding this forum and further growing it. Where is the problem with that?

Thus, the emoticons.....
Often hard to discern "how" something is said with written word.
I wasn't sure how to take the post either. One little
makes it easier to "see" your face while reading the words.
Hope it all worked out.
