OOOOHHeeeee Thats one neat looking build

I'd imagine 4 dual T24's would be quite the potent small venue rig. If you're going to do something may as well do it right aye.

Thats 8 woofers in total, 10" each or not - has to possess a substantial Vd. have you calculated the total Vd. in comparison to say two 3012lf's or even four? I'm well intrigued to hear reports of the end result. Whats the HPF you'll be running and how many of what amps will you be powering them with?

Happy building brethren :D
Built 2 x T39 Lab 12 loaded 457mm wide, 29inch Wide Dual Lab 12 Loaded T60 and 2 x OTop 112 2512 Melded. Powered by N.I.TRAKTOR Pro 2.6 (2.6.1 has too many issues) TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 Crown XTi2000

Hi titanium I have not computed VD don't know how to compute with T/S I think it's Xmax x SD x 2 (BP102). I will be powering the subs with a factory refurbished Crest 7001 and the Omni's QSC CX 502, HPF set at 38Hz. Planning on 8 T36 builds next! :fingers:

:cop: :cop: :cop: NO! NO! NO! :cop: :cop: :cop:

Omni series, not OmniTop, are full-range speaker cabinets. They already extend down below 50Hz. If you are using separates, build a pair or two of the OTop 12s. Or, better yet, build DR200s.

What's wrong with the setup of Omnis over T24s, if everythings crossed over and EQd appropriately? Going by charts the Omni takes a fair dive below 100hz anyway... perhaps redundant, but that doesn't make it so wrong another top needs to be built, does it?

also, what sort of music are you using these for, djlivex?

The music I usually play are recorded dance music anything from the doo wop age to todays top 40 and club music style. Very little Dub Step, I like House music from the 80's til today. I will probably use these T24's from 80Hz and below (38Hz). The QSC CX 502 has a filter in the back where you can choose 33/73 Hz filter. I've sanded panel 3 a hair I like the perfect fit, but the 64 T-nuts? WHEW! Took time!

The T24's look really interesting to me and are actually closest to the size of subs I'd always used before. I'd love to build a pair.

What's the highpass on omni12? Looking at the size of it, and it not being a full on horn, can't be same as T24.

Hi DJPhatman I am not trying to dish your point I know where you are coming from with this, this project I have been planning since late 2010. Maybe it's a wrong setup but I am not trying to prove a point as to this setup but it is a pleasure to build Bills designs and when people are on the dance floor enjoying themselves those charts you keep showing just don't mean any anymore. I know this system will be loud especially the amps and other electronics I will be buying in the next month or so. Believe me I know where you are coming from no disrespect maybe my system is all messed up mixing cabs. I have a couple of shows this Fall 2012 and they will be used till the end of the year. There are 3 systems I can have on hand from people I know in the business, I plan to start gathering wood again (BB) for my next project a large 5 way sound system using the T36's (15mm exterior glue/12mm interior) as subs loaded with Faital Pros neo 15's, again it is just a plan and maybe I am doing something out of the norm for this site but I like to experiment, but I know it will be big and sweet sounding, and LOUD!!!! :chainsaw:
