Are there any plans to do a BFM pole/column type speaker design, similar to the Bose L1?
A column of cross-firing piezos matched with a Jack10 for bass could be a winner

Used 'em. For a one-man show in a small place......it's ok....not great, but ok. Just heard a guy use one yesterday....wasn't that impressed.
The whole idea of having the thing behind you serving as a monitor and mains sounds good on paper, but the performer hears it well and it's pretty much lost once it hits the audience.
I am extremely un-impressed with these high-priced doodads......

I'll do that the same day that Lamborghini comes out with a design similar to the KIA Rio.

Build a couple of SLA Pros, put a T39 under them... BAM! Done.
Then.... deploy them correctly to either side of the stage. BAM! Better!

This. I work for a Bose Pro dealer, so I get to play with their stuff (and install it) quite frequently. The L1 is nothing more than two MA12 cabinets stacked on top of each other with a base, processing, amps, and bass bins to go with them. Want to know how the SLA Pro stacks up against that?
BAM!

Wow, Brent. Sure you won't get hammered for that? Never seen a bose graph anywhere.

That graph really goes with the old saying:

AFAIK that's the only graph that Bose has ever published, and why they published that one is a matter of great conjecture.

A friend of mine has the L1 mk1 system with the full height array and 2 subs per side.
He raves about them but to be honest when I saw him use one stack for his solo gig I could hear there was potential but it was badly executed.
I get the feeling the subs are crossed over pretty high but as we all know, getting the bottom end of a vocal sound from the floor makes it very muddy.
I wanted to build an SLA with a small sub to prove that he could do better for less but haven't got round to it yet.
