I know there was some talk of taking the reading of the auto EQ from a DEQ2496 and transfering them into the Parametric EQs of SAC.
Has anyone attempted this and what were the results.

Re: DEQ2496 to SAC EQ
I have tried and did not get it to sound as good as the auto-eq result through the DEQ. Perhaps I'm not good enough at translating the graphics from the DEQ to fewer parametric bands. Thanks for bringing this up, good reminder as I do want to try the exact DEQ settings in a 31-band EQ plugin.

All you have to do is patch in another EQ. It's not limited to 1 per channel. You can use 4 and get 28 bands.AntonZ wrote:I have tried and did not get it to sound as good as the auto-eq result through the DEQ. I too like to see the EQ points, everyone is setting their speaker with SAC via RTA. Can you export the EQ points from the DEQ ? It would be faster to just lock in the adjustment on SAC side if we know all the points. I think we need put to together collection/list of all the EQ points for BFD speakers.

Re: DEQ2496 to SAC EQ
I guess I wasn't really clear. Just wanted to know if someone had used the SAC EQs instead of the 2496 with good results.
Points can help, but I know mine are a little different than some that have posted so they would be used as a start point, but I still think an auto eq is a must and certainly a time saver..
The best way would be to keep EQing in SAC until the DEQ2496 made no adjustments via auto EQ. Then you would know that the settings are the same.

Re: DEQ2496 to SAC EQ
I'm using the KarmaFX 31Band EQ in SAC. Works Great !!!
You could use 3 instances of the plugin, set one to low, one to mid, and one to high for 93 bands of EQ.
Get it free under: Products/KarmaFX Plugin Pack on this page: http://www.karmafx.net
