Yea. There was no room for my speaker stands so I do have stands for my mains. Those little 6's get really loud.

Were your running Virtual DJ? if so do you have a USB to DMX converter for your lights? Thats my next setup. I have a USB>DMX on the way and there is a plugin for Virtual DJ to use with Freestyler to sync the lights to the beats in Virtual DJ instead of relying on the built in mics to mimic.

Yea it's virtual DJ, I got a Hercules e2 controller on sale for 50$. I was planning on the numark mixtrack, but I figured for 50$ u can't go wrong. It's a little limited, like to beatmatch there's no key lock. It also doesnt have an interface, but I always wanted tolisten to my movies in 5.1 anyways

As for the tops sounding good it's because I have a sonic maximizer. It is amazing the effect it does!

Those dmx things are out of my price range as of now, I plan on a chauvet obey 8 and have the chases run to the beat.

The USB>DMX 512 converters are around $30-50 on ebay and work with freestyler if you don't want to use a normal hardware piece for DMX control.

I like the hercules products too. I have the DJ Control Steel, only downside is the jog wheels are not setup well for scratching but with the music I play I don't use them anyways. For Audio interface I rather have external anyways over the built in cards on the controllers. May be more wires but I find the dedicated units are a better choice. I Run the Audio 2 DJ.

I have the standard Numark Mixtrack. If you're going to get a Mixtrack, get the Pro, it has a built-in integrated sound card. Beats pretty much anything in its price range considering all it does, and it's easy to learn and use.

For the $100 difference between the Mixtrack and Mixtrack Pro it would be better to get the Mixtrack and a good ASIO external sound card to use for headphones/main out. MixTrack Pro does not have ASIO drivers as far as I know.

If you don't care about ultra latency than the all in one Mixtrack Pro might be the way to go if you dont want extra devices.
