I just found this website. Wow! This is just what I'm looking for. I want to build some bass
cabinets for a new amp that I have, and I'd like to get some advice on which
ones I should consider.
The amp I have is a David Eden Road Runner 600. It can run in mono
(bridged) for a total of 600 watts @ 4 ohms, or stereo for 300 watts
a side @ 4 ohms, or Bi amped with an internal crossover, again 300
watts a side @ 4 ohms.
I plan to run it Bi-amped with a low / mid cabinet combination, and I've been
looking for plans to build a low cabinet and mid cabinet setup. I
prefer to use 15" speakers for the low cabinet and 10" speakers for
the mid cabinet, but I am flexible.
Which of your cabinets would you suggest for this configuration, and
why? Also, what would be my estimated build cost? I have above
average woodworking skills and the tools to do the job.
Thanks!
Ray

Titan 39 (slim) and Omnitop 10 would be killer and quite easy to move around.

I don't see an Omnitop 10. Is that the same plans as the Omnitop 12?Frederic Gelinas wrote:Titan 39 (slim) and Omnitop 10 would be killer and quite easy to move around.

If you want a bi-amp setup I would go with a DR250 and a T39. That would be a killer system! If you don't need to bi-amp I would go with 2 Jack 10s or 12s.

Ultimate, no-holds-barred bass rig would be the DR250 on top of the T39, but this would be for a large stadium size venue. For everything else, Jack 110 or Jack 112. Build multiples of single driver Jacks, and forget about bi-amping. Do not, however, mix J10 with J12 or J15, or any of the other cabinets.

The bridged mono is 8 ohm, so realistically you're looking at 150W into two 8 ohm cabs if you biamp or if you parallel mono. Or build 4 jack 12 to get the full monty. Not that anyone needs that sort of rig unless playing big gigs with no PA.

Clouded thinking - there isn't an Omnitop 10. Is very easy for your brain to get swiss cheesed after a while with all the different combinations.Rayzorx wrote:I don't see an Omnitop 10. Is that the same plans as the Omnitop 12?
