How do i set my xti?
Re: How do i set my xti?
You're in the same boat as I am. You will have to borrow a ... yes, PC. It sucks, I know. Without a PC, you won't be able to use the most important features. Find a friend or relative that will let you plug in while you set it up -- it will save up to 20 settings. It's best to borrow one when you're doing sound testing outdoors, so you can hear what you are doing without room modes or reflections getting in the way. After that you won't need a PC until you decide to make changes to your settings. I have filled every preset so that I can be ready for any occasion without having to dig up a PC.

Instead of Bootcamp, take a look at VirtualBox - it's the same idea as VMware Fusion or Parallels, but it's free. Once you've got that, you can set up a Windows XP virtual machine fairly easy, and then run the Crown software from there. You're not really going to be able to do much with the settings for a pair of titans from the front control panel on the Xti, sorry. You'll probably be able to get the LPF close, but if I remember right having the all-important HPF set properly to prevent over-excursion pretty much requires using the computer software.Bones wrote:I cant use the software because i use a mac and havent set up bootcamp..

Man, I wish I had known sooner, I could have helped you out. You can set the low pass from the front panel. but cannot change the high pass without system architect. I guess in a pinch, you could run without a highpass, but you run a very good chance of overexcursion. If you are availible tomorrow am, I could help you out, if you want to drive a little. I have system architect on both of my computers.
