My first set of OT12's I doubled up the scratch resistant pet screen as a front grill around a wood frame because one layer showed more than I wanted. Worked pretty well, so I figured at some point way back that two layers of pet screen would be good to seal off the horn throat on my WH's that started as 6.5" loaded and no screen anywhere. Several outdoor gigs in the fall and I decided to screen the throat when I upgraded to Alpha 8's.
Testing out the latest upgrade to Delta Pro 8's with 60Hz tones to check for cone slap against the chamber reducer; I discovered that two layers of pet screen will vibrate pretty annoyingly against each other when the cone gets moving. Fortunately it's not too bad with regular music, but I'm going to have to figure something out eventually. Delta Pro is an upgrade for an early start gig tomorrow so nothing doing tonight.

Sew the layers together. A couple of loops of thread, and tie it tight. Do this in a bunch of places.

Or, just make a couple of thin circles of super glue - that'll hold 'em together too...

I would not use two layers in the throat, it could constrict air flow too much, and nothing's getting through a layer of throat mounted pet screen.

Well, that'd fix the buzzing to take them apart and replace the pet screen. I have it on my list to do a full rebuild of them and build another pair or two while I'm at it. I just have to finish my Jacks first and I've been busy enough I have low motivation to get through another big building project. I've even contemplated having the next batch built for me.
