Books that are actually useful.

#1 Post by sonicanvil »

Does "Sound Systems: Design and Optimization: Modern Techniques and Tools for Sound System Design and Alignment" by Bob McCarthy or "Loudspeaker Handbook" by John Eargle cover horn loaded designs and is there anything on the market that does?
I am interested in design applications in actual work environments not raw drivers in test chambers.
I am told John Eargle's book has a section on horn loaded speakers that is more definition than application.
Most material (books) i find tend to deal with direct radiators in the "home theater" realm or studio applications in surround sound.
Theres a lot of line array/line transmission info available since thats whats in vogue right now.
Should i be applying this information to BF designs?

So i was told my question was too cryptic.
Sorry!
How about this!
If you had a coupon to get 40% off one of the above mentioned books, which one would you buy?
I'm torn between those two books or a book on psychoacoustics.lol
