Duratex offering sample + texture roller $20 shipped

#1 Post by bzb »

Got this in my email. Says it'll cover about 10-12 sq ft of surface. Enough for a couple cabs.

Yep, I have it too. Perfect for touchups, and is actually enough to cover a small cab.

Nice, didn't realize you were carrying it, too. Will the little roller it comes with hold up to a couple washings?

It should. Same roller as the bigger ones, just be nice to the plastic handle.

The small rollers you sent me ( with the steel handles ) ....weeeell... I have painted ( min of 2 coats each );

2 J112
2 J110
2 DR250
2 T4824
1 Autotuba

...with just ONE little roller washed out after each coat..and it's still doing just fine thank you!

The there's the other small roller and The Big Roller still to go yet !

I just love good stuff.

Oh wait....there's more...I still have 1/2 of the second 1 gal pail of roll on Duratex to go!!! Then I'm onto my 5 gal spray-on container.....Yeeeeharrrrr! :noob:

How the heck did you get the Duratex to Kiwi land? Last time I remember this being discussed, all freight companies regarded it a hazardous substance and refused to take it abroad.

No longer. Acry-Tech got it through all the stuff USPS requires.

Harley got his 5 gallons with a container shipment with his company. Took 2 months though.

Wait so does that mean we can have it air freighted to NZ now?

A one US gal ( 3.8l ) pail will cost you just on $NZ 210 landed by the time you pay GST etc at today's exchange rates.

Good gravy, no suitable alternatives down there in upside-down land? Maybe Acry-Tech wants to open a Kiwi factory ;)

With only 4.5 million population, I doubt it. Oz would be their better target in reality.

Maybe it's cheaper to start it on NZ, kind of like how the US has tons of factories in Mexico.

It could be your new tourism slogan:

New Zealand: Australia's Mexico.

It would be nice if we could get color samples for $20. But, alas, the deal is only for black.
