Greetings From St. Louis

#1 Post by Stage Craft »

Hi all,

My name is Anthony and I live/work near St. Louis MO. I've had Bills book for 7-8 years now, pooring over it's contents on a regular basis. I was getting ready to build a new system from the designs in that book when I discovered Bills web site and this forum (and the fact that those designs are obsolete.)

I'm still getting up to speed, but intend to build DR250s, Titan 39's and Wedgehorn monitors for my band. I purchased the CD and Bill was kind enough to get me the pdf for the DR250s so I can get started before my CD arrives.

A little about my background; I've been building cabinets for guitar amps/speaker cabinets full time for going on 8 years now. I first started a company called Reason that evolved from a cabinet company into an amplifier company (http://www.reasonamps.com). I still have a seperate cabinet business called Stage Craft (http://www.stagecraftgear.com). We have a retail line of guitar speaker cabs, but my primary business is OEM cabinet manufacturing for small amplifier companies.

Anyhow, I'm excited to be a part of the community!
Peace and Good Tone,
Anthony Bonadio

Very cool stuff, I'll be looking out for your gear when I go see the Black Crowes this year

You're going to love the setup. There's a band here that rocks DR280s and T48s and it's WAY overkill - in that they barely have to turn the system up for 95% of the venues they play at. Sounds crystal clear and loud, but you can still talk while in the crowd.

Gracias. I got Shake Your Money Maker on cassette for my 15th birthday. Man, I wore that album out! Saw them this summer on the 20 year anniversary tour and hearing Rich do the out-tro lick on Jelous again on my amp almost brought a tear to my eye. Cool guys, great show. They are as tight as ever.

Thanks for the 280/T48 warning too. Are they just running a pair of each?

Got my CD in the mail yesterday. Props to Bill for great service. He even sent me a pdf of the DR250 so I could get started before my CD arrived. I've started building jigs and such and will have a build thread underway this week.

Super pumped!

Awesome man. Your cabinet building chops will be very well implemented on these boxes. All I've build are two Tuba 30's, and I LOVE them. I hope to get close to finishing my OT12's this weekend. Nice to have you here.
